Stop Animation using iPads
Name
Graeme Lazell Stop animation is a great way to embed learning of new and often tricky concepts. Please come and observe how learners at our school have taken the concept of "The water cycle" and "The life cycle of a star" and produced some outstanding stop animations. The techniques that we use are simple, but what makes this a standout project is the subliminal learning that takes place; true teamwork, creativity, resilience, and planning are all evident in this project. Come and see for yourself. |
Discovery Session
During this session, I will explain the process of stop animation, the reasons, behind the project, the resources and the planning. I will share our successes (and our failures!) and our next steps. All work will be on an iPad.

DEEP Dive
In groups of two or three, participants will make their own stop animation based on "The Water Cycle" using an iPad.
In the second half of the dive, you will be guided on editing your animation using iMovie.
To takeaway, you will have an animation based on the water cycle and real transferrable skills that you will be able to use back in your classroom.
